It wasn't exactly often I left my own lands. The comfortable, yet always looming over me with despair, castle was a safe place to be for me, and it was rare for me to give that up. However, in order to prepare us to take over Aldonia, and rid the lands of the Zrael race once and for all, I had to make alliances. Personally, it seemed to me that the Zraels were completely out of luck, considering they lost Samson, who ruled them with an iron fist and really made the race flourish. I, however, am not foolish enough to believe that Pirate has perished as well. They have yet to recover a body on her therefore I have yet to believe she's dead. Plus, they had an heir, I knew that. I wondered what had come of this heir and when I would meet it. No matter how much all of the leaders of Aldonia hated each other, no matter how bad our rivalries were, we did have to meet and find out what's best for the land.
Of course the Zraels thought to rid the world of the Briels would be best, and we thought the opposite things. The liors side with us, the nyxes side with the bad guys, the workforce sides with whoever will give them more in exchange for their labour, and the averas each picked their own side, some trying to stay out of the dispute altogether. It didn't matter to me, though, I was just out to make personal connections with others - you know, to really get my name in the green, instead of down in the red. I did not truly aim to be anyone's enemy, though I must say I am careful when meeting new equines. You can never be too careful when you are coming upon a land where both nyxes and zraels may live. You just, can't.
Either way, I was here to be a leader, not a follower. I was here to create solutions, not the problems. It was who I was meant to be and I enjoyed every moment of it.
I let each muscle tighten and loosen as I gracefully moved across the lands. My wings were tucked against my sides, but due to my invisibility, only I truly knew they were there, though any equine could hear them when they moved in the wind or if I stretched them out. With the invisibility comes heightened other senses. They make much more noise than they logically should, thus I can not make a flying sneak attack on another. Luckily, I found myself seeking peace, not war. At least for now.
Finally, I began to flap my wings and slowly I raised off of the ground, as soon as I was about twenty metres off of the ground, I let them be visible again, and I felt as if my ears could finally rest as they were so much quieter after this. It's hard to realize how much of a difference they make until you can truly compare them. It was a whole different view of the world from up above. It seemed I could see on forever, and I could even see where the earth curved, the sky above the horizon forming a parabola type shape.
Looking down, I realized I was right above the Flerangia Meadows. If I wanted to go somewhere to find other horses, this was the place. Upon making my wings invisible again, I made several circles until I was much closer to the ground, then swooped down, letting my feet hit the ground already running. At that moment, I stopped flapping my wings, and let my feet go slower and slower until I was trotting... walking... and standing still. I raised my head and looked around. Was anyone else out to play today?

Panting as she raced through the Meadows, though told to make a run for it into the Jungle, she didn't. Believing that in there would be her death with Wolves on her tail or so she believed unless they were held up or chasing the other mare.
She was not about to stop, praying to the Fates that the other mare made it to safety at least but she would continue to run and not look back. The more she ran the less of a target she would be or so she thought. Or maybe it would make her a perfect target for wolves.
Ears twitched side to side and back to try an monitor the sound of a predator. Why on Aldonia did she come to the Meadows? Why did she have to be such an explorer, to want to discover and see the realms of this land?
Finally, after running for the longest time it seem, as if forever, she stopped. Twisting around, ears twitching every direction as she held her head high, listening intently for any predator that may still be following her or perhaps a new pack that was stalking her. The wind was gentle like a tender caress of a Lover. Occasionally there was the gentle gust that would fancy playing with her long, wavy tresses of her thick black mane like fingers of a child fondling and stringing them out. All the grasses of amber and green danced and bowed all about her as she stood there listening and watching... waiting for something.

There's just so much one can do in the lands of Aldonia. Anywhere from wander into Kyros to taunt the Zraels, or hang out with the more supreme race, the ones who actually have a king, the Briels. Either way, to each their own, and I do know that there are some horses I would not want to get anywhere near the Briels, and that's just how things are. Such as, Pirate, if she's still alive. Some say she is, some say she isn't. Only time will tell, I suppose.
Upon looking around, I could see a jet black mare far off in the distance galloping along the meadows. God only knows where she was going. She could have been running from something, or to something. I definitely could not tell personally, and just to be cautious I made sure both my wings and horn were hidden. It was so I could look like the average Avera horse, and maybe she would think nothing of me. that is, if she had not heard of the legendary briel king that I am.
I threw my head down, hearing my horn slice the air and make a whistle just as a whip would, and walked towards the mare. As soon as I got within speaking distance, about ten to twenty feet away, I spoke aloud to her. I knew she could not possibly be harmless, for she did not act it, and I was one to trust another quickly, at least I gave off that vibe. In my head, I would always be skeptical. Alas, I was the briel king and I had to accept all equine. I could use my own mind to see into her head, but the second she became aware, she could start hearing my thoughts as well, and I could not possibly have that.
Greetings, dear child. Where is it you are running to? I asked her, assuming she was not running from something, as some equine would be insulted by such an assumption.

Intently listening for the wolves as she was sure they were behind her giving chase. But there was nothing other than the wind.
That wonderful gentle wind that brushed over her, caressing her black velvety pelt with invisible fingers, continuously playing with her mane and tail as wisps flew away in various directions at the wind's whim.
Upon the voice of another, she squealed and jerked. Utterly startled since she was looking away and had not noticed nor heard the other equine approach her. She felt so terrified. What if that was a wolf and she didn't hear it coming? That was so unacceptable?
Panting softly now as she gathered her wits and stood there facing the other equine. Stunned, she didn't quite expect him to be there. A stallion? My my, this was interesting. Then tilting her head slightly as wisps of her long black tresses continued to flutter about in the wind. Child? Did he just call her child? Why on Aldonia would this stallion call her child? A bewildered, quirky look as she gaze at the stallion.
"I was... fleeing a pack of wolves," she simply replied to his question but was baffled nevertheless. Now what was this stallion going to do? Harm her? Jeer her for running and not fighting? Glancing back behind her to see if there were still no wolves. Thus far, no wolves.
Turning back around to face the stallion... she felt a little... giddy. Glancing down as she found it difficult to look at him and so she glanced about and glanced back. "I had... stumbled upon a pack of wolves feasting, though I think they were considering I'd make a better meal than a mere tiny fawn," she simply stated, finding it difficult to simply be at ease.

This mare was startled by me, and I felt there was no need for her to be. But, when she spoke of her predicament, I understood why. She was chased by a pack of wolves and understandably very frightened and lacking the sense of relaxation most mares craved. I was here to provide that, though, at this point. There was no reason to have scared mares running all over Aldonia, whether they follow the Zraels, Averas, or Briels. At this point, alliance did not matter to me. No, it was this mare's well being.
I looked her over once. She did not appear to be wounded but her black hair could hide just about anything, I was sure. I spoke to her, my pace of voice quick. Are you injured? I asked her. Do you need rest? was my next question. You are safe here, with me. I told her, and lowered my head, letting my almost-white locks of hair fall from my neck to covering my face. I would not let her be afraid any longer. I had wished I picked empathy to empower me when I became a briel, instead of telepathy, as it has not yet proved useful. Invisibility was alright, for I was able to hide that part of myself, but regardless, if she were to touch my side or my face, she would feel my horn or wings, so it became useless at that point.

It was difficult to not glance about her surroundings but by now, it was obvious that the wolves were not chasing her. Still it was difficult to let her guard down and to calm even as her panting had stopped.
Oh, so touching that he was asking if she was ok. Touching? Seriously? Oh, come on! She thought. "I'm fine, thank you," as she could not seem to look at him. Shy for some oddball reason while being around him at current. Well, that was stupid, she didn't know him! That's why! Daft mare, thinking to herself. "I'm not injured." she continued but rest. Oh, yes, rest would be nice. She'd been traveling all day and running for her life... she was in need of a bit of rest... food and water... but where on Aldonia would she find a place so peaceful enough that she could relax other than the Elysium Fields?
Safe... with him? Slightly raising a 'brow' as she looked at him and tilted her head to the side ever so slightly. "Oh, is that so?" she purred with wicked delight wondering why on Aldonia this stallion felt like he could protect her, why she was safe with him, and be so parental over her. Overly concerned stallion that should by all means be an old nag, she thought. She tried not to laugh at that thought and stowed it quickly. It wasn't nice to think such thoughts. But still...
"And how, pray tell, am I safe... with you?" spoken in such a taunting sultry tone with a quirky smirk, questioning his motives as she strode slowly towards him as she began to circle him but stayed at a fair distance from him, no need to be close after all he could be luring her in to harm her. Wouldn't Nyxes and Zraels come here, too? Wouldn't it be possible for them to come and seduce her to their dark world?

The mare told me she was fine. I still had yet to find out her name, but I was not worried about such finite details. These formalities would come about later. She then told me she was not injured. After that, she asked if it was truly so that I could keep her safe. She also asked why, and right before I was gonna reply, she started to circle me. Did this mare really think she was going to impress anyone? She started to make me doubt her alliance more and more. I, however, gave away my own alliance. I let my invisibility let up, exposing both my wings, and my horn. Also, the fact that these things were invisible, if she was thinking, would hint her to the fact that I was a briel. I did not, however, expose my telepathy yet. That would give away the fact that I held a throne, and I wondered how she would react to this information thus far.
Let's just say... I have experience keeping others safe. I told her, remembering the many attacks on my kingdom in the past. If you don't trust me, and keep circling me as if I'm some sort of prey, then I will be on my way. I told her, and chuckled, not moving a muscle. I was not afraid of this mare, nor would I ever be. Even if she did try and hurt me, I could easily heal myself. Being a king and experienced in the arts, I could heal myself quickly, so I rarely feared any situation.

She barely got just a quarter of a way around him when he once again startled her by revealing the horn and wings. Stumbling back with wide eyes astonished and frightened... just slightly... almost losing her footing as she became transfixed upon the wings and horn. It was obvious he was no mere mortal equine... but a Briel!
Swallowing hard as she stood there just gawking in awe. First time she saw a Briel really. She only heard of them, but this stallion was her first Briel and- "Wow," she said in absolute stupified astonishment. She forgot about ever circling him or questioning his motives... practically forgot everything as she stood there watching this Briel stallion.
"I mean," as she shook her head, her black locks quivering in movement, "My apologies for... appearing untrusting. An equine can never be too careful." Or so she thought. But he really did stun her utterly as she could only stand there to soak in his immortal visage. "I've not met a Briel before," she state with childlike awe in her sweet, warm tone like that of velvet to match her black velvety pelt.
"Oh, were are my manners," purring as she stood there trying to be as noble in appearance but then released that swiftly, only standing there with the usual grace that she often held herself as with bold brace. "I am Anastasia Maxima Adontis," she told him as she lowered her head like a slight bow, the locks of her mane shifted forward like a black flood. "But please," she glanced up and smiled at him, "Call me Ana." The long name she never quite understood why her mother fancied it so much and gave it to her. Oh, well.

Just as I had expected, she did stop in her tracks when she realized I was a Briel. This, this confirmed my thoughts that she was a lior, as well. While she did not seem one at first, the fact she was running away from wolves was about a dead giveaway. Well, of course, she could have been an avera. She still could be, but at this point it did not matter.
She looked at me as if I was a celebrity. She said wow first, and she just seemed like she met her biggest hero. I could not even imagine what kind of emotion she would have to find out I was the king. She would probably crap herself. It could be utterly interesting, however. She then apologized for being untrusting, explaining that she could never be too careful. I had to agree with her, but I just nodded. I did not speak because soon enough she was taken aback once more. She stated she had never met a briel before. Then, she introduced herself. Her name was way too much for me to catch in one burst, but she shortened it up to Ana and that made it much easier.
I had to give away my identity at this point. I was sure that upon hearing my name she would know who I was anyways, so at this point I spoke into her thoughts, instead of moving my lips. I extended out my wings to stretch them, and scratched part of them with my horn, alleviating any soreness at the same time.
Ana, you have not met a Briel before? I casted into her mind. Then I am sure you have never met the Briel king. I added, and smiled as I watched her. I then spoke aloud. You can call me Nero. I told her. And I awaited her response. I figured it could be anything but disappointing, for it seemed I was like a celebrity to her. I could get used to this...

Rather enchanted with his visage at this point, how majestic and magical he appeared just left her at a loss of words. At the very least.
But she was not quite ready for his voice in her head. Blinking as she nearly stumbled at hearing his voice in such a strange manner. She'd not ever experienced anything like this. Ever. And it was so new yet wonderful. His words like a gentle touch that she could only remain so transfixed upon him while she watched him as though he were preening his wings. Wings. A horn. "No," came her surreal yet sweet and soft reply. "I haven't," as she gazed at him in absolute wonderment. A Briel, standing before her, his wings unfurled and was speaking to her... his voice in her mind. This was... beyond incredible.
She felt as though she must be acting so foolish, like some idiotically naive filly that had just been locked away and never experienced a single thing in her life. Suddenly feeling so silly, behaving shyly.... just a tad.
That is, until he spoke his name. Took her a moment after his voice in her head and then he spoke to her. Introducing himself was rather delightful. But again, took her a moment to put two and two together.
Eyes widened a tad then he gracefully bowed upon her forelegs to Nero. "Your Majesty," she stated with sweet respect and awe. Once again, those black locks flooded over her neck down upon her head almost covering face. Indeed this was a great honor, more than a delight. Her first Briel... and it was the Briel King! And a handsome Briel King at that.

A gentle breeze slid across the vast lands. The tall grasses swayed gently as if dancing to an unheard music. The sun's rays licked the sky, painting a bright landscape of greens, blues, browns, and some more "pow" colors like yellow and pink. The trees spread their branches, reaching their leaves to the sky, always so close, but so far away. A mountain could be seen in the far distance, towering over the grounds around in. I was in a place called Flerangia Meadows? Yes. That is what I had heard them called. I didn't quite understand what that meant, though. It was something in some unknown language. Or possibly... It was just some letters stuck together to form a word. Either way, I was there. I had never been there before. The vast, open meadow, filled with tall grasses and beautiful flowers... It was definitely a sight to see.
I walked through the meadow, my golden champagne coat glimmering brightly in the sunlight, my pelt resembling that of a fire burning the meadow. What was my name? Well, I shall tell you now that my mother wasn't very creative when it came to names. My name was Champagne. Original, right? Exactly. My mother was a nut job. A nut job who probably hadn't wanted a child in the first place. Champagne. What a stupid name. To be named after a color... It would be like naming a brown horse Brown or a bay horse Bay. I was a golden champagne horse name Champagne. It made me want to kill my mother. What an idiot she was. That's why I went by Champ most of the time. It helped to cover up my horrid name. But then again, Champ was a male's name. Nothing I did could get rid of my name... Not one thing...
My beauty made up for my name, though. Strong and well groomed, I was a looker. Definitely a fighter, as well. I had been in and out of many different herds, but I had never found my true home. And now, here I was, wandering through the lands. I was lonely, looking for someone to have around. Company, so to say. I sighed and continued on before perking my ears at the sound of voices. I immediately froze in place, my attention focused on the voices I had heard, listening. Yes. There they were again. I had not imagined them! My excitement made my heart sore and I took off at a fast trot toward where the voices had come from. In no time, I was upon them, and I stopped, examining them. To my dismay, one of them was a stallion. That angered me, for I wasn't the biggest fan of stallions. Along with that, he possessed a horn and wings, indicating that he was most likely a Briel. The other one, however was a mare, and she looked to be a light, though I couldn't be for sure. Neither of them were of my alliance, but I approached them anyway, my head high in a sort of challenge for the stallion, but gaze soft for the mare. An odd mixture, but I presented it well as I stopped near them, examining both of them.
